You cross the living room and head for the kitchen. But when you get there, you can't remember why you went there in the first place. Even worse, you can't remember things that happened yesterday without familiar reminders. Your house is filled with unfinished projects because you find it difficult to concentrate long enough to complete them. You begin wondering, "Why can't I remember things anymore?"
For an increasing number of men and women in the prime of their lives, loss of memory is a growing concern. In most cases, early memory loss is the result of lifestyle patterns that expose the brain to chemical, biological, and environmental stressors. Is there anything you can do about it? The answer is a resounding "yes." Drs. Pavel Yutsis and Lynda Toth have combined clinical experience with the most current memory research in Why Can't I Remember? to share significant ways to protect, improve, and even restore your precious memory.
Divided into two parts, Why Can't I Remember? opens with a simple lesson on the brain and how memory works. It then uncovers a number of both well-known and unsuspected causes—poor diet, toxic chemical exposure, yeast overgrowth, heavy metal buildup allergies, dental amalgam leakage—that may be robbing you of your valuable memory. Part Two begins with a questionnaire designed to help you assess your memory loss, and then continues with a number of practical memory-supporting strategies that really work. From simple nutritional supplementation, to a host of remarkable "smart" drugs and therapies, to easy lifestyle adjustments, Drs. Yutsis and Toth provide the necessary tools to help prevent memory loss and aid in memory restoration.
If you are concerned about preserving your memory or the memory of someone you love, you are sure to find Why Can't I Remember? an invaluable resource. Through it, you will discover how to gain and maintain the needed edge in the battle against memory loss, now and for years to come.
